I bought this 94 jeep off craigslist as a running but wrecked parts jeep, 4.0 HO AW4 231,dana 30 and trury 5 with 215.000 on it. Super clean inside and well cared for. After looking at it I said to my self it can be fixed without to much $ so here we go:thumbup1:

The 1st pic is after the frame work fender bumper and grill ect...was replaced. Got lucky and found a frame guy that had no work at the time and got a smoken deal on the frame work 350.00

After many nights of heavy drinking...LOL and trying to decide what the hell I was going to do and where to start with this project, I came up with game plan 1. Well after about 2 hours on the phone and a few hrs. online game plan 1 craped the bed, this is where I found just how much it would cost to do this deal...BS 4,000.00 or so in parts no FW...lol. SO on to plan B. I called my son in law in SLC UT and we started huntin parts. He has a bit of luck with XJ's and has a few parts laying around. Here's his XJ and ect.

The first day was a *****, I started taking the Turdy 5 out and get very very lucky and did not brake any bolts....not even the shock bolts :sweatdrop: but front leaf spring bolts were a real *** kicker LOL. My son in law (Matt) and a friend of his (Josh) started on the Cry 8.25 29 spline. Tore it down and installed the 4.56 and the disk brake set up off a 96 Grand Cherokee.

Ok on to the front end same deal as the rear I pulled all the old crap out while Matt and Josh built a different Dana 30 (trying to speed things up) 456 ect. Like the rear not much to say about like any other 4.5 lift, but with a pro comp adj. trac bar and a Ballistic fab frame side bracket.

Well while Matt did the SYE install I swapped the rotors and put on the home brew bored throttle body that has a performance coating in and out purty kool.

1hotboat 06-25-2011 06:30 PM

Well all in all not a bad build so far 1 broken bolt in it cross member and one bad uni-bearing on the D30 we used a quick fix, Matt had one or so all ready out in his stash lol. I have to say the the throttle body made a big diff. in response...sweet. Not bad for a day an a half . Next on the list rear bumper and swing out . Now we still have time to go junk yardin :thumbup1: SLC has like 4 or 5 u pull it type yards sweet:headbang:

Now for some of the fun stuff. We started the rear bumper and tire swing out carrier. Unlike the lift and gears and so on we could build this our self's. I ran to the steel yard and picked up some steel, a piece of 4x4 .250 wall and stick of 2x3x.125. Matt had the rest on hand. We started buy building a hub for the swing and drilling two pieces of 2x2x.250 angle to replace the class 3 mounts.
