my gfs' first jeep build.

picked up an 88 2 door 5 speed for my gf the other day.. d30/d35, 4.0, dark red leather int, nothing special. ext used to be grey until some previous owner painted it camo with bright orange fender flares.
stock suspension running 31s, needs rear wheel cylinders, and of course it has the ever popular cracked coolant tank. big surprise.
so far her build plans are: repaint it, 3" lift, 33s, swap in an auto trans, and upgrade the cooling system. aaaand... that's it. nice reliable, dependable daily driver that can hold its own in the woods. will be getting a cb, probably going to make a roof rack, some other small things.
overall, its a pretty clean xj that looks as though it has never seen dirt or mud (until I ran it through a small mud hole last night. hey, gotta test it, right?)

not sure if you were referring to the camo/orange paint, or the thing on the rear window.. if you were talking about the window, that's actually something I designed and painted on the window for my gf..

EZEARL 07-11-2014 08:55 PM

I was refering to the paint scheme. I kinda like it. Waddell is well known on the sportsmen circuit. The color scheme for a few of his products is camo with orange trim.

87lowcog35s 07-12-2014 12:41 AM

gotcha. I just don't understand camo paint on trucks.. what are you sneaking up on, mailboxes? traffic? idk, just not my thing. wasn't trying to offend anyone..

Living in Va. you have alot of public hunting land. Get your hunter safety card, hunting license,a bolt action .22 rimfire rifle, decent 6x scope, some std velocity hollow point ammo, pack up some camping gear in your Jeep and go hunt some squirrels. When you can get your limit a day of squirrels you'll be a hunter. Hint. 1-They can hear WELL and SEE any movement or bright object as a threat. 2-Get as close as needed.

87lowcog35s 07-18-2014 03:11 PM

thanks ezearl, will do. ive got a savage .22 with a bushnell scope I use for ground hogs, didn't know about public hunting land, guess its time to hit google
