HD tie rod, new tre's and HD adjustable trac bar came today. as well as my 33x10.50r15 used thornbirds too....
cheap is what i live for. as far as cage goes you can do a simple roll bar in rear, and simple hoop behind front seats, and your good for slow 'overs, in my case i have a bunch of tubing, a nice millermatic 212, and a tube bender so im goin as strong as possible to keep it from folding up. ive "heard" it doesnt weaken it that much before and standing on roof now it seems same...lol with my exo cage and simple internal all tied together me and all my occupants will be safe, as far as the body goes?????i dont care what it looks like this going to slowluy become my war machine.

Lookin good man. Like the design of cutting the rear hatch to fill the gap. Should look even better when it's done.

just make sure you think your cuts through and when you do make sure to measure twice. i was close on all but eyed everything lol im gonna finish cosmetic stuff this week you will like the finished product if you like it now.
my suggestion is to also use a sawzall...with a short metal blade it sliced like hot butter, by the way the lower part of back under window is sealed now, and has more tube work on rear cargo area i boxed it and im goin to have to wait to finish rear part of cage and the exo til next week. ran out of some supplies and gotta buy groceries befor i spend money on jeep. uggh

DUDE!!! That is so sick! I am doin the same thing on my 87. I recently wrecked the back end of it (badly
), so I decided to go crew-cab style. Yours looks awesome though.. I only hope mine turns out half as good. Keep updating and let us know when the cage is installed! I'll update you soon with a couple of pics of mine.

I decided to go shorter, and loose the window. The top of the back hatch works nice to finish off the back end.
