Here is my 99 Cherokee.. Not necessarily a build thread. Just pictures I have from over time. I originally traded another vehicle for it . Started off with old lift parts, blown shocks, only thing good was a home brew radius arm setup. with Johnny joints all around.
Very clean to start with. Fresh paint and mint interior. 33"s Low pinion dana 30, chrysler 8.25 stock gears open diff. Attachment 410478 Attachment 410479 Plenty flexy Attachment 410480 First set of 35"s got for dirt cheap but were dry rotted Attachment 410481 35 12.50 Cooper STTS , 8" Lift , new front springs, rear springs, shocks all the way around , RHD Drag link , v8 ZJ tie rod flipped over the knuckles. New track bar 4.56 gears , trussed high pinion dana 30, Alloy usa U joints, Air locker front, Ford 8.8 rear axle with lunch box locker. ( disk brakes) Attachment 410482 Attachment 410483 Was riding rough in the rear due to piss poor shackle angle. before Attachment 410484 After Attachment 410485 Me realizing I need limit straps. ( I pulled it out myself) Attachment 410486 Home brew cowl hood, removed upper passenger link off radius arms, johnny joint drivers side upper control arm mount on axle end, home brew rear bumper cut rear quarter panels. ( yes i need to get new u bolts and yes the rear bumper is a little off ) grooved the tires on the main lugs. Attachment 410487 Attachment 410488 Attachment 410489 Attachment 410490 Next mod is cut the rear hatch in half, trash the bottom half make latches for the top half and mount the spare tire flat half in half out on a tire gate style setup. Somewhat like this. And once i leave Alaska ( shock killer cold) Im going to upgrade to fox 2.0s And get rid of the tail light housings and flush mount the LEDS Attachment 410491 Plenty of carnage. A few extra bits to add
No sway bars and love it. 100 percent removed. It is a daily driver and I have no concerns, steering box brace, SYE , home made snorkel in its future from exhaust tubing. |
