Hey guys. New to Jeeps here. I picked up a clean 99 XJ with just over 100K miles. Looking to turn it into a family exploring rig for overland fun. Not into mud, rock crawling etc... Just nice trail riding out here in Oregon. This is what I'm starting with.

I'm starting off by getting some better tires tonight, and then we will see where it goes from there.

Nice rig, looks like a good clean XJ to start with.

Just my other project- 88 5.0 Mustang, 408 stroker, 75mm turbo, was 703 RWHP, shooting for 1000 rwhp after the 408 upgrade.

Very nice notchback! I love them and love those wheels on them too. Nice xj as well.

Clean looking XJ.

What is it with XJ owners and Fox bodies (or Fords in general)? I've got 2 XJ's now, and 2 Explorers. Are we just conflicted?

The more I dig into these jeeps, the more similarities I see between them and the Mustangs. A chassis that works, unibody, good power stock, lots of cheesy plastic parts to fail.... Huge aftermarket!!!!

Got some new rubber Friday eve, went out to our Homestead land to do some shooting Saturday. Found a little washout on this old logging road, flexed it a little. Really happy with this thing.

Super Clean. Just something about a clean basic XJ

JeepMastah 02-29-2016 11:18 PM

Yep.

Next I need to locate a company for bumpers and a roof rack. I've been looking at Quadratec, Rustys, but just can't find what I am looking for... Any ideas?

What are you looking for? Try JCR, Nates4x4, Aresfab.

I used to own a hearse that was 23 1/2 feet long, but 99 feet is getting a little ridiculous.
