And here are the axle to frame measurements...

Front 13.5"
Rear 12"

So it looks like a total of 6 inches front and back.

Had an early start this morning. Decided to put the CB in before it rains.

I got a deal on a Cobra 29LX so that's what I installed. I used a JCR antenna mount and a 5' fiberglass Firestik.

As you see here, I mounted it to the rear of the center console.

I ran all the wires through the console for a clean look.

Next up was power. I used a CLA so it would be easy to remove on use if necessary.

And here is antenna and mount that everyone else has.

The lift turned out awesome. 10 - 11" increase is a major difference, I hope I can get anywhere close to that.

As far as the CB, what was the thought process for having it back there where it's so much less accessible? Looks clean being out of the way like that, just seems like you would want the controls more handy.

I put it back there so my wife doesnt destroy her leg on it. My buddy cut his leg all up when hit a nasty hill. The mic reaches all the way up to the shifter, so it's really not that bad. Plus, I'll only be using one channel at a time.

On a separate note, I'm not really sure why the app is turning some of the pics on their side. I took all the pictures the same way. I'll try to fix it later.

That makes sense. If/when I do mine I'm thinking about mounting it on the roof since I don't have the overhead console.

On a side note, when I read that I had flashbacks to Smokey and the Bandit when they were discussing CB channels...
"When I say go to six, forget it, we go to three! If I say go to two, we go to one."

Thank you. It's finally starting to look like the XJ I invasioned when I started my build plans.

So I have this weird issue with the sway bar and quick disconnects. The passenger side disco is almost touching the spring where it connects to the sway bar, while the driver side has a good 2 inches of separation. I can't figure out why and it's really bothering me. I'm afraid it's going to whack it on a good bump. Any thoughts?

The swaybar is shifted to the passenger side.... just have to wiggle the bar over towards the driver's side until it's centered. Might have to remove your links to make it easier.

So the sway bar was dead center. I ordered the RE1660 track bar today to replace the old one that was only for 4.5". Hopefully that fixes it.

Oh yeah, this arrived today...

Should have it on within the next couple days. Any recommendations on a winch?
