ok, hello everyone. been a long time lurker. thought i would start a build thread to keep up with my Cheep Cherokee build and maybe get some input from other cherokee lover's. been chasing to cherokee bug for along time. pick up a bone stock 96 sport 2wd $600. it has 160,000+. with a little bit of frontend damage. but, runs and drives perfect.

couple of weeks later pick up this 95 with a Rock Krawler 4.5" lift, black 15x8 d windows on 33's for $500. motor was blown and the wiring was shot. the lift only has maybe a year on it.

sorry! yes, 4:10 front and rear. front wielded up and the rear has some wierd limited slip/locker that never really worked right. but, it's all coming out in time. looking at airlockers front and rear with new set gears. plus an 8.8 swap.

i'm kind of new to the 4wheeling thing myself. rode 4wheelers and dirt bikes most of my life. now as for the 4wd drive swap i kind of lucked out with a complete doner jeep and the ex owner basicly standing there telling me what needed to be swaped. most dana 30 out of most jeeps with the stock 4 link set up will swap over. just make sure the gears are the same front and rear. same kind of goes for the transmission and transfercase out of most jeep. now, you will need to find the transfercase shifter and cable setup out of a cherokee. i almost scraped the doner without pulling the 4wd shifter linkage.

but, don't get me lying. there are people on here that know much more then me on here. just take your time and have fun doing it.

Read, research, save up your money, do it right. With the proper knowledge you will be able to tackle anything. There is so much information on this site just search and read, a good thing to do is read build threads most of the time they will tell you what to do or give you a link to a good thread.

OP looking good!

ok, over the weekend. i basicly scaned over my doner jeep for crap i may want before i scrap it. i came across the digital clock. my sport didn't come with one nor did it have the harness to plug it up. so i cracked it open and found that by hooking up black to ground. red to 12v and the orange to a 12v ign. wire. it worked. so i just hooked it up to the same circit as the radio. pretty simple install.

thought i would throw that out there for anybody that my want the clock with out have to pull the harness out of a doner jeep.

the clock
