axle swap

Got rid of the dana 35. And hopefully this will get rid of my axle wrap. Going with 8.25, 29 spline count with disc brakes.
Cut off factory smaller leaf spring perches and welded on Rusty's anti axle warp perches. almost 7inches. Got the new axle in. Next step is finish brake lines and install new brake booster. |

Nice build. What did you do about the ABS? Or was the turdy five non-ABS?
|

I like it so far. My next move is actually an axle swap.

I decided it was time for a cage. I went with hybird.
A pillar is outside. Went through the fender and welded to the sliders. B hoop is inside, it has plates on the floor and underneath. Plates are bolted together and welded underneath to the cross member. C hoop is inside, and welded to plates in the rear. D has legs straight through the cab to plates in rear. Halo is welded to risers from B and C hoop and legs to floor on D Attachment 343746 Attachment 343747 Attachment 343748 Attachment 343749 Attachment 343750 Attachment 343751 Attachment 343752 Attachment 343753 Attachment 343754 Attachment 343755 Attachment 343756 |
