So wondering if the 4.0L 5speed 1988 pioneer XJ is a good jeep to build to wheel? I have a ford 8.8 in the rear, high pinion dana 30 up front with 4:10s, 231 transfercase with a set of 31x10.50 and a set of 5 34x11.50 With blacksofta 8's i think. Painted it blue from the flat black Color It was. Put a tire carrier bumper with 2 hooks in the rear. Aussi locker comming soon.
Wanting some other ideas for it? Also i'm thinking about chopping off my rear hatch ive seen it done on a few xjs and ever since been hooked. Also putting either a flow master exshaust or a glass pack cherry bomb. It has dual fans one works not sure how the other turns on. had 3.5inch lift now has 6.5inch lift with a 3inch drop pitman arm. give me some other Ideas. Maybe tube fender flares? Tucked in rear?

thats a good start man ... yeah i chopped 2 xjs so far and about "sardine can" (sp?) my twin brothers xj ....gonna leave the frame work around the roof and cut out the roof and put a canvas top on it ...
