My 2wd XJ

I bought this 97 xj 4.0 2wd about a month ago for a daily driver well i hate the look of a stock jeep so im looking to lift it.

My plans are a 3-4.5 inch lift that im going to try to piece together for cheap.

Possible 4x4 conversion or just a locker.

A stinger bumper because it builds character.

heres a few pics

I don't know from experience, but from what I've read you'd be better off just buying a 4wd. Good luck with everything, and lets see some more pics!

So i was in class the other day and I pulled in the jeep so i could check it out because it was wayyy to cold outside and found that it needed a new steering damper and swaybar bracket bushings so i ran to autozone and fixed that.

if you don't know what i mean check this forum out http://www.naxja.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=230

its basically lifted jeep+ high speed= cream in your pants. or a load of **** haha i think it depends if you have death wobble or not

x91j 12-07-2010 11:41 PM

haha! my jeeps got balls. ya i think im leaving it 2wd but if i get the chance ill convert it!

RedZeppelinXJ 12-08-2010 05:06 PM

haha hey at least you wont need a t-case drop or SYE with your lift lol.....gotta look on the bright side

but if (when) you convert it i'd say pick up a rust bucket/ slightly wrecked clunker that has the drive train parts you need for the swap.....beats making 40 runs to the pick-n-pull to get what you need
