Thanks man! Yeah they are certainly similar, just not in proximity!

Thanks for the compliment! That was an option I considered, and I might do it further down the road, but for now I'm going to keep it like it is. As far as a quick disconnect goes, I had the pieces for one, but I couldn't get it figured out! I'll look into the trailer plug connector thing! I have the ends of the wires in a great spot, so installing something like that would be easy.

Opinion time! I just filed my taxes (it's nice being able to do it in 15 minutes and get money back...oh college...) and I'll be getting some money back that will go towards the XJ. I basically HAVE to get a new track bar, since my current one is on it's last leg, so that will only leave around $150. I was thinking about getting a SOLID diff cover for my front diff, while they're only $65. Is that a pretty good upgrade or should I put the money towards something else?

Depends on if you need anything for the Jeep. Otherwise, accessories are basically all opinion.

Well I need a new track bar, since mine is still stock and isn't serviceable. I will be ordering Iron Rock's Double Shear track bar as soon as the refund comes in. As far as other things go, I was only thinking about the Diff cover because I don't know how strong/weak the stock one is. I could get the IRO tie rod as well, since mine is also still stock.

Yeah stock steering is pretty thin. I mean everyone is gonna tell you to buy something different and it should just depend on what you want to buy and what kind of stuff you use your jeep for.

Yeah I gotcha. I'm leaning away from the diff cover now based on what some other people are saying. I'm still on stock LCA's so I'm considering beefing those up with some IRO ones. How crucial is it to have them be adjustable? I never plan on going higher than say...4.5" and I'm at 3.5" right now.

I guess they just help move the axle forward for more lift.

I'd take some of the money and get some clear markers and upgrade the terrible factory headlights with some Rampage headlights from quadratec. Markers are on ebay and headlights are about $40 for the pair I believe.

I'm actually planning on getting smoked corners and tail lights eventually! I'll look into those headlights though.

Thank you! I got an email from FedEx earlier today saying that my IRO Track Bar and LCA's are on their way, so I'll update once I get everything installed, which might be a few weeks...I'm at school

Like mine? The top one I didn't spray the sides I did. Just to show the difference.

Maybe like that, but most likely I'll buy smoked ones. I'd have to look up the laws, but I have a feeling that spraying your taillights yourself is possibly illegal here.
