Well, today marked the beginning of the wiring project! I woke up and found these at the doorstep:

Goodies:

I got right to work!

Had to make sure to mark my grounds at the end, otherwise they'd get lost in the loom!

And so began the final leg:

As you can see, my perfectionism took over! After that I started getting the Jeep ready for its new veins; that will be finished up tomorrow! I'll have pictures of all of the Jeep wiring tomorrow night, as well as the whole thing together at last!

I'm not a photography major strictly speaking, but it is definitely in my plan of study. I'm double majoring in studio art and marketing, where the studio art part, I'm concentrating in photo. All of the pictures that I've posted have only had ambient lighting; no artificial or planned lighting at all. Sure, I placed the Jeep in the parking deck where I thought it would look alright in the pictures, but I rarely use "artificial" light. Thanks for the compliments man! I hope to get the rest of it done tomorrow and get the rack mounts welded on, and button the whole thing up!

Thanks! The conduit was about $11 for 100 feet of it, so I have plenty left over for future projects. www.delcity.com is where I got everything. Here's a link to their page for Loom: http://www.delcity.net/store/Slit-Lo..._67499.a_1.t_1

All different diameters! I got slit loom so it wouldn't be as hard to get the wires in.

Really nice looking XJ!!! I was thinking the same thing going through this build, "These pictures are freakin awesome!!". Love that you do everything right the first time. I do the same thing, and yeah it may take a little longer or cost a few more bucks but the end results speak for themselves. I'll be following this for sure.
Makes me want to get my *** in gear and get my build thread started, since mine looks so different from when i got it 2 months ago!

Thanks man! I should have some more pictures tomorrow afternoon.

After much struggle, I just plain couldn't get the lights to run. Turns out, I completely skipped the 12V run wire going into the switch. Silly me. So once I figured out that that was what I was missing, I took my center console panel off, and spliced a wire into one of my cigarette lighter wires. Hooked that up to the switch, and boom. Lights worked!

As I said up there ^, the lights are on and working just fine! I took a few pictures of the wiring, but nothing really exciting. Hopefully in the next few days I'll be able to take some good pictures of the whole Jeep with the new lights and refurb'd rack. Now that I'm back at school, I probably won't be updating as often since I don't have any money and I don't have much time to work on it

I had some time to take a few new frontal pictures today! Yes, more parking deck pictures, but dinner was being prepared so I didn't want to venture off too far!

Looks good man really like how clean and up kept everything is!!! Only question is why didnt you drill into the rack to run the wires inside and use like a trailer plug connector or something to serve as a disconnect? Also, glad to see another GA guy!
