My 1st jeep build

This is my first official jeep build on a rig of my own. I recently picked up this jeep for 175 bucks. I need to wash it and put a little tlc into it. I am picking up a 3 inch lift for 150 bucks and 33's for 200. Here is a pic of the jeep now. I will update with some more pics in the week to follow

Also what are your guys thoughts on paint? Im thinking of a flat forest green or should I keep it white? I want something to show off the mud :D

Congrats & welcome to CherokeeForum.com.

Cheapjeeps are the best! Paint it however you want, white shows up best though. (speaking from previous experience)

Keep us updated and have fun!

Good lord man, nice find!

If you are going cheap, the flat rustoleum olive green is good, and white like said above is easy. But if you go all out and spend good $ for paint, check the green on bushwackers site for the jeep cherokee with the new flat fender flares.

post up pictures of the lift and tires when you get them!!

I would get the lift done first ,and then go on to check floor boards and underneth it for any rust ,and make sure any bugs are worked out of it first .Then go for the paint job and if you like forest green you paint it the color you like cause your the one payin for it. g/l and nice find keep us all posted.

holy crap.....i was happy to buy my trail rig, which was real rusty for $300! great deal....i love budget beaters like this

idk if its for you but i painted mine olive drab by mixing rustoleum red-primer and forest green then rolling it on like painting a house.....it came out real flat and thick, you could do the same just without the primer and one gallon would give you 2 thick coats....i like it but it looks kinda hack

being a washington native myself, there shouldn't be too much rust if any..if i remember right we don't use salt on the roads in the winter? Awesome find man, hope all is well with the eingine when you tear her down.

Nope there is no rust that I have seen so far. Just a little bit of mold but oh well
