Recently i had been getting really bad vibrations in the driveline(Jan-Early March). I figured the rear u-joints were going out... boy was i wrong. I'll let the picture do the talking.

What the Picture doesnt show is the similar damage on the right(in the pic) "tine" since the only part that is left faced me when taking the picture. The joint fell apart as soon as i took the shaft out.

runs great, drips a few drops of oil when sitting for more than a few days. but starts up and runs everyday. I need to eventually replace the fuel pump, fuel filter(i have a bad check valve).

i thought id never see a u joint this bad again. i just fixed a trans for a kid and had the same problem. he thought it was normal for a lifted truck to drive like that doing 100+ from chicago everyday with bad u joints, and wheel bearings

Mr. Pink 03-23-2013 11:32 PM

yea that is 10k of hard abuse from me, Off roading and driving it 80miles a day. once i got the vibrations i stopped driving it(middle of Feb) I just fixed it beginning of March.
