"The Mountaineer" Build Thread
Well I guess i should start up an official build thread for this beast. I call my jeep "The Mountaineer". I just got it on Monday the 18th and have already ordered a few toys. Day one I went and had a flowmaster put on. In the future I plan to add a better exhaust system, but this will do for now.

UPDATE!!!
So after waiting ALL day. The UPS guy finally showed up at 6:15pm. He brought my tires at 9:18am yesterday so I figured itd be early this morning when I got everything but guess not. So here it is, my Rough Country 3" add a leaf lift kit. I'll probably start workin on it monday. I'm headed to NC tonight to see the fam and wont be back till late sunday. heres the pics and i'll update monday! http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...ntegra/all.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...ra/springs.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...egra/shock.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...egra/leafs.jpg |
Well after 2 full days, 3 Full cans of PB Blaster, 2 broken sway bar end links. The jeep has finally been lifted. Didn't get any pics of install because I only have my camera on my phone and didnt want to get that greasy. I had to go get two new sway bar end links for like 15 bucks a piece. cost me 65 for the tires to be mounted and balanced. i did notice i have a small oil leak and lots of under body rust that may need to be addressed. so here are the pics of the finished product!!
Of course a before pic for reference http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...ntegra/xj2.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...integra/j2.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...integra/j1.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...integra/j4.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...integra/j3.jpg |
:thumbup1:Looks great! Nice work.
|
Looks great! Same color as mine too. How's the ride with those Hydro 8000 shocks?
I was thinking about going with either OME shocks or the Bilsteins when I do my lift. |
I love the shocks. It doesnt seem like its all that stiff. You can also really feel these tires digging in. So far I love it. Maybe i wish it was a little higher with 32s... lol
