Once you get those black bolts in, its going to look way better. Looks like it has stainless chickenpox right now. How thick is the new armor? They would cover up a lot of the messed up areas on my Jeep.

The quarter armor bolts are your standard Black Oxide bolts. The coating is about .0002 thick. So it does little for rust protection. You can get them oil soaked but again only prolongs rust.
I tried to find powdercoated bolts but couldn't find 1/4-20, only metric sizes.
So for those that don't know ZINC keeps rust at bay really well. You can get black zinc coated stainless bolts. The black zinc coating is about. 0005 thick, plus being stainless will keep them from rusting and of course looking good.
The armor is 1/8" (.125) cnc formed steel, they work well for protecting doors and rockers or just covering up rust or dents. I don't see many people using them but I like em. That area on my last jeep was beat.

Good looking build so far. I really like the tail lights that you installed. I followed the link you posted and was going to buy a set... only to find that they're unavailable. Maybe they'll get some in soon, if not I'll have to find something else.
I run the 35" ST Maxx on my Ram 1500 and it's one of the best tires I've ever had. More aggressive than an AT, but not quite as aggressive as an MT.

I've heard only good things about the ST Maxx. They run true to advertised size which is nice and they don't make any noise. Seem to work very well, haven't had them off-road yet. I love the size I picked, tall and narrow. Tread width is right at 10.25" and overall section width is just under 11". In think because my rim is only 7.5" wide. And they are exactly 34" diameter. I've seen them next to Metric 35s of the same brand and they look the same height only narrower. Guy at the tire store told me people are getting 80k miles out of these tires riding under bigger trucks. So under the light jeep with rotating my spare in I should get a ton of life out of the tires.

Took the jeep out for it's first wheeling trip, was mostly snow run. Jeep did fantastic. Still got some more trimming to do on fenders but otherwise pretty happy. I was the only one without a locker or lsd and my jeep did better than on the other rigs. I give credit to the tires. The cooper st max tires have silicon in them and the snow d idnt seem to want to stick or pack the threads at all. Was a fun trip with some great views of mount Rainer up cooper creek road/trail
Also got my heated seat inserts in for this trip which was really nice. If you don't have heated seats these Amazon insert kits are easy and they kick ***.
Couple pics from our trip

Oh was a blast guys and met some great people.
Yeah I must say the narrow tires and my jeep being light it did great. I still can't believe have good the tires did in deep snow and packed icy spots and deep mud. I ran 14lbs in the front tires and 12.5lbs in the rear.
Met a guy in a big 78 dodge. 513 years and 47" swampers and a 318 engine, haha needs a 440. That thing was a beast. Just massive. We made it through a hole that he turned around on because his wheelbase and lack of flex. Here is a pic of his truck and a few others.

Finally took the time to install my synergy long arm lowers and frame bracket. Then next day built the upper 3rd which originally planned to run on the drivers side but ended up on passenger side.
Since I did that I reinforced the mount for now and ordered a beefy one that will go on my hp30.
Super happy with the clearance. Lots of belly clearance.

I like the long arms! Tons of clearance. But how much up travel do you get out of it? Looks like they might hit the uni-frame? Also, what lift height are you at? I didnt read back that far.

I'm only getting about 4 inches of uprtavel before i get interference and running stock flares I can only use about 3.5 inches of up travel before I get tire rub but I'm working on pulling the flare back a little more. That's why the front bump stopped currently set too (3" up travel). My axle was moved almost 2 inches forward from where it was with stick lowes and uppers. That helped alor with wheel well clearance.
I'm going for more down travel with my setup. After I get my metacloak coils im.going to modify theetop of the shock mounting points to accept a long shock. (Hopefully 14-16" travel shock) then I'll pull th old shocks and measure for shock lengths.

One thing to remember is the lower arms are inboard of the sub-frame and bent outward and down for high clearance. So they may look like they are 1.5" away from sub-frame but they are more inboard of sub-frame.
One more note is how easy it is to adjust these. Defiantly is the best design I've seen. You lossen the pinch bolt and turn the nut and you can adjust your caster and arm lengths without having to remove the arms. That was one of the major selling points for me. Only reason I built the upper myself is it was cheaper and I wanted a 3 link not 4. Unused the same style joints and lunch bolt with a Rough Stuff upper bracket and 1.5" do a tubing that's 5/16 wall
