Memorial build for my grandpa
So here is my first post, i am a new member from out in San Diego and i recently inherited my grandfathers jeep from his passing. i have always loved this jeep and have a countless number of memories in it. This was his second Cherokee, the first one he got rid of after he put on over 300,000 miles on it. that jeep is what made me first fall in love with jeeps. After that he got this one with low miles on it, he used it every day as his daily driver as well as his work truck. my grandparents own 27 acres in the hills of San Diego and this jeep drove over damn near every inch of it.
I inherited this 98 Cherokee Sport with 183,00 miles on it, the motor runs strong as ever but is definitely in need of a little bit of attention. The interior is in great condition other than some stains from daily use as a work vehicle. the paint is actually in great shape considering its a 15 year old jeep that rarely got washed but instead baked in the San Diego sun. i personally attribute the quality of the paint to the fact that they garaged the jeep everyday.
my plans as of right now are just simple upgrades and maintenince. One day i would like to really go wild with it, but since it is my daily driver as well as i am still a college student that will have to wait.
Any and all help/tips on this build would be much appreciated, i am not new to working on cars but i am new on working on jeeps. feel free to leave any and all comments they will all be much appreciated.

Subbing so I can follow your build. I've already got my trail rig built from my Cherokee, but my dad passed in September and he left me his 2001 WJ which is now my daily driver.
Sorry for your loss. Anxious to see what you do with this one. Plenty of info here and a lot of people willing to help with any questions you might have.

Took the Cherokee in today to get a new head unit finally!! Took it over to San Diego Car Audio in El Cajon, Mike the manager is an awesome guy. He knows his stuff so if anyone in the SoCal area needs to get their stereo taken care of hit this guy up!
So anyways I went with an Alpine head unit with blue tooth capabilities. Mike wired up the microphone through my A-Pillar and placed it just above my rear view mirror. The sound is awesome, all my phone calls are crystal clear and there is no volume issue with the person who you are calling.
