Lookin good so far!
always neat to see 97+ swaps. makes you wish they really would have kept making them.
I mean, they kept making Dakotas, after all.

What color are you thinking you would like in the future?

I'm really thinking about either a matte black or I'm kind of digging this low gloss wool grey metallic. I'm thinking about some 5 spoke rims I'd really like to do something with a redline wheel or tire

Also when I started this build I almost went for a extended cab Dakota to swap everything jeep into. Probably would have been the same amount of work in the end and totally a one of a kind

The black on those tail lights looks great! If I had an older model, I would totally snag that from you!

For anyone doing the alternator relocation don't be a dummy like me. You NEED to use an pre 94 XJ with A/C upper radiator hose a new upper radiator hose won't work. And you won't be able to close your hood

Don't mind the terrible steering wheel or tan change tray haha they will be changed put as I find them. As for the white floors it's left over tintable raptor liner that I didn't have and base color left for to I just sprayed it all white and I'm going to just rattle can it black(I already started on the passenger side)

nice to see it coming along!

would have been interesting to see a cab'n a half "Comanche", to say the least.

I need to clean my NSS as well, or maybe yank the one off my '96 parts jeep for my '98.

Is it the same connector? I saw a brand new looking one as I was laying under an older xj today didn't think to check the connector on it 😑

Got the interior put in now I just need to get a radio wired up, the courtesy lights, and a few other things. Also have to figure out why my blinkers are going fast. Hazards blink at normal speed but blinkers are fast, the bulbs are all new and working any ideas?

Im not sure on your blinker issue. perhaps the hazards and blinkers are on seperate interval circuts for saftey/redundancy reasons, and the interval mechanism for the blinkers is bad?

it would make sense, as if you have a blown bulb and the turn signals blink fast, the hazards are still the same regular speed.

the inside looks really nice! are the doors a special size 'in between' the short 4 door XJ styla and longer 2 door style, so you cant deg 97+ door panels?

as for my NSS id assume they are all the same but you can never be too sure. it only messed up and makes me start in neutral sometimes (maybe thrice in as many months). the gear indicator being wrong for what gear it is actually in is more annoying to me.

Well I found out that there is a "flasher" relay under the steering column I had my doubts that it would fix the problem because the hazzards worked fine but I swapped it with a new one (there like 15$) and the blinkers are back to par.

I plan on switching the doors completely to 1997 doors they have the same hinges at Comanches but I've only been able to find doors from 98+ with the newer style hinges I can't stand the mirror set up on these doors the corner glass is all jacked up on mine and doesn't seal. But for now they will do I suppose
