Lightbulb looking to lift stock xj 98

alright guys i want to hook up my daily drive with no more then two days of down time i would like to do a 4.5 lift.
i have a few questions though and would love some help.
do i have to have a SYE?
do i need shims?
if so what size?
any help would be great have to make it to work so i can make my jeep a jeep.

Don't need SYE. TC drop kit should do, if you have bad vibs, then get a SYE if you want em gone. Make sure you extend your brake lines and get an adj trackbar and drop pitman am too.

No problem. You also want a bunch of PB blaster, spray any bolts or nut you have to remove prior to going at it. a few das before you do it, spray some down everyday. I ended up snapping all my rear shock mounts, had to cut into the floor to get at them.

if i use a drop pitman arm kit will this keep me from having to drill threw my track rod mount just seems like not a very stronge mod it only leave like 1/2 of metal

Buy the right kit and you'll get the correct Track Bar.

DPA is not needed for a 4.5" lift.

The only time you need one is if your track bar and draglink are not parallel.

Question still not found the right one looking at RC though

so you had to have adjustable track bar and a drop pitman arm i that what i'm rading?all these complete lift kits aren't so complete.wish i could just find a nice bundle deal
