the little guy
 

ok so i recently picked up a 99 4.0 5 speed 2 door with 160k on the clock and a 3.5 rustys lift. AKA "the little guy". Just like the rest of you guys i just cant roll around town in a stock truck. My DD is a dodge loaded up with a cummins layin down 410hp. so anyway my buddy hooked me up with 3 new 31x10.5 mastercraft a/t2 which will have to work for now the 4th should be here this week along with a pair or sway bar disco's.

the other stuff that is in the works are:
bumpers
sliders "as of right now the rockers are staying"
half doors "as soon as i can find a junk yard 2 door"
square tube roof rack

I run a welding and fab shop so this should be an interesting project.
any other metal working ideas would be great as im going to use the little guy to showcase the shop.

ok so i finally got the shop cleared out so i can start this thing. fabed up some 1/4 plate bumper mounts last night 6 mounting pionts per side with holes for power steering. left 8 extended past bumper for welding to top and fwd of bumper, also shackle mounts.

pic is before i drilled them. i sware there identical one is leaning more than the other.

i made two sets of these.

thought i would throw some more pics up. here she is with some new skins and painted rims. did the rims with rustoleum hammered finish and then cleared them. came out ok for $10. also got a pair of 8" ruff country sway bar disconects on e bay cut them down and re welded them. excuse the hack job on the fender wells i bought it that way.

I have the same Jeep. Headed towards 3.5" lift, 31's, bumpers, roof rack, and half doors!

front bumper pics pictures. just in primer now will be spraying it with duplicolor bed liner and installing this weekend. the last pic isnt really that great i know. i think i might put a set of 2" square led's recessed in the outer angled sections i just havent found any yet.

so ive been searching all summer for a set of door to chop and i cant find any at the junk yards or on craigs list anyone on here have any ideas?

Tube doors would be fairly easy if you can weld.

I thought about it but I haven't seen any tube doors that I really like.

Then make ones you do like.
