For those of you wondering about RPM's at highway speeds with the 4.88's and 35's.


Speedometer is 5-6mph off, actual speed per the GPS was 70mph.

Very interesting. I though it would be revving higher. That is nearly identical to what my 31s and 3.73s does. Mine is just a tad over 2500 rpms at 70 mph.

The whole manual and automatic thing come into play here too though.

Mine does 2500 rpms at 70mph
4.10s and 35s...5 speed on my 98 4.0

Mine is about where Lack's is w/ 3.55's and 32s.... which are really worn down to about 31s.

Its only leveled and those are the metric equivalent of 35's. GM wheel wells dont take that big of a tire without rubbing.



The angle of the pic makes them look pretty small too.

Now thats its a couple years old when Im due for tires again I may go one size bigger and trim a little bit. When it was brand new I didnt feel like cutting in to her. Ha
