Thanks for the input. I'll think it over and figure something out.

I've finished sanding and painting the interior and exterior.

While pulling the shifter **** this happened...

Next on the list is bedlining the trunk and insulating the interior.

Sorry, that sucks ***. But I can see exactly how that went down(or rather, up) in my head. Know the feeling!

I almost did that myself when I had to remove the center console. That thing is so hard to get loose without pulling it up with all your weight. Updates look great--sorry about the windshield.

Chassis paint came in.

Has anyone used this before?

Started putting the insulation in.

I ordered ACC carpet from rock auto. I liked the black painted floor so I went with black carpet. It should be delivered by next Friday.

The chassis paint was easy to do and seemed to be worth the time (1 hour) and money ($30). 2 cans covered the whole unibody. Also, I used undercoat paint and spray the undercarriage.

The ACC (4 door only) carpet came in today. I made some basic cuts and am letting it settle before cutting out all the seat belt, bracket holes, etc.

The 4 door only carpet seems to fit well a 2 door well.

Used monster liner in the trunk area. It turned out great. I'll start putting the interior back together this week. Maybe even get the gas tank back in.

I’ve been driving the Trooper Jeep are town and have been loving it. Recently, I noticed a sound coming from the rear end. After further diagnosis it seems that the bearing in the diff. are worn. I got a quote to repair for $600 and found a used open rear end with matching 3.55 gears for $100. Might go with the open used axle and swap them out. But I’ll like having a stock limited slip rear. Has anyone else had diff bearings go out? If so, what did you do to fix?

I’m getting an off-road rear bumper with receiver. So I took the stock bumper off, cleaned, then painted the rear panel. Also, I tightened the e-brake and was unable to get any response from the drums. Time to work on that....

Other than the windshield (lol...sorry), you're doing a great job!

I thought about using Monsta-liner on my hood and roof where the clear coat is peeling and leave the rest the original color. Did you spray, brush on, or roll yours?

The state of Florida will sell a retired LE Cherokee occasionally. I work for the state and drive by the Revenue building where they sell surplus vehicles every day. The only surplus Cherokees I've seen so far are too far gone for me. I'll keep working on mine and eventually a good one will come up and I'll snag it for project #2.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks!
I rolled the majority of the monetary-liner. It is recommended to brush corners and seams, so I did and it turned out well. Just make sure to prep the surface.

I would add more support than that sheet metal to the 2x6s but guess it depends on how you plan on using it.
