I guess it’s about time I start a build thread here. I’ve had my Jeep almost 2 years now and haven’t yet done anything very major to it. My primary focus has been on bringing it up to and keeping it in top running shape. Since I’ve been in college the entire time I’ve had it, I’ve been reluctant to spend much money in upgrades and mods but since I’m graduating this May I think it’s about time I start to tackle some of the projects on my list. I don’t plan on doing an overly drastic overhaul of the Jeep as I plan on keeping it as my DD for the foreseeable future. That said the majority of my changes will be focused primarily on performance and some aesthetic upgrades along with a handful of interior projects.

A little info on the Jeep:

Here’s what she looked like when I first brought her home.

Since then I’ve tackled a few smaller projects.

      Here’s the current project list:

I’m currently awaiting some clear turn singnals/markers. Should be in within a week or so.

This build might be a little slow in starting but I plan on doing the majority of the work during the summer so I hope you all check in regularly and enjoy watching my progress. Be sure to check in with any suggestions or tips for new mods, upgrades, or suggestions for anything I’m working on. I plan to have lots of pics up of my progress fairly regularly.

I should have some pics of what she looks like currently in the next day or two. Enjoy!

Im up at Orono too. Ive got a 99 cherokee (forest green), roof rack on top, stickers in the rear windows, and its lifted 4.5'' with a RE short arm kit. Also rolling on stockers so its pretty easy to spot. I live in york (sophmore), are you a freshman/on campus? If you ever see me feel free to stop me cause i always like to talk about cars

Nice I'll definitely keep my eye out for your rig. I'm a senior actually living off campus graduating this spring. Do you know of any good trails around here?

ok, i had read above that you got is senior year or something like that so I guessed a freshman. Anyways, as far as trails go, i usually just go exploring down past milford. There is a place called Leonards Mill kinda near Bradley/Milford and it is also the Umaine/Penobscot County Protected forest but they have a lot of dirt roads and ATV trails that go forever. Im hoping since it has rained quite a bit the trail will be a little harder, im going to check them out again sometime this week. How about you, do you know of any? i know there is All-Wheels in Lewiston. Anything else get dont to your jeep recently?

Nice, ya I ventured out there last year but I don't think I fully explored that area, I'll definetly check that out this week. I'll have new pics up this afternoon and a seafoam video I took awhile back shortly. I'm really excited about the interest in my build, thanks guys I'll be getting things going soon!

My XJ is just about to roll 169,000 miles. Still runs great! As far as I know its first seafoam treatment was when I did it in that video, explains why my smoke show was a little intense

As promised here are some pics of the Jeep as it stands today.

Still waiting on the clear markers to come in and a junkyard trip is definitely in my near future so there should be some updates soon!

have you even been to Silvers? its over near veazie (if you were going to go to Margaritas/downtown Orono you just keep going straight and go through the lights that would take you to 95, pass the golf course on the left, and silvers in on the right), you need to know what parts you want/what vehicle they come off but they can order stuff for you too. It isnt the cheapest but if you looking for used arts you can always check there
