Jeep Jamboree

Hello. At the end of September my wife and I are attending our first Jeep Jamboree in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We will be driving our 01 XJ to and hopefully back again from the Jamboree (8 hrs each way) so I want to make sure I don't destroy it while we are there. I have a 2 inch lift, tow hooks, full size spare, cb and all the other equipment they recommend. My question is this, if I am to add anything else to keep from damaging my ride what would you guys suggest. I am thinking a front differential protection, but am not sure. Thanks

wrong section. transfer case skid and rock sliders probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

I was not sure where I should post this, but I figured who would know better than Builders? Would you do the skid plate before a differential skid plate?

i think you mean an aftermarket differential cover??? Hmmm, personally i would do the TC skid first, however, your differentials are the lowest point on the vehicle and will be vulnerable. rustys sells a TC skid for 99 bucks, if budget isnt really a huge concern id check out solidaxle.com for diff covers while your at it.

Thanks, ya maybe I will do both. I don't plan on going real crazy at the Jamboree but like I said, I still want to get home with it and have a little fun. The trails around the Black Hills should be pretty nice at that time of year.
