Jeep help

So I was looking at my 1994 jeep Cherokee y do I have a Dana 44 in the Front and have a Chrysler 8-1/4 in the back y aren't they the same

If it has factory axles in it then you have a dana 30 in the front and a c8.25 in the rear. I'm not sure what your asking as far as why they aren't the same. Please clarify

I thought they would be the same. So if I want to Change my gears do I have to buy 2 different ring and pinion
