Jeep Cherokee Laredo New lights
Does anyone know what size the Commander Headlights are and does the orange side light come off them? Im fixing up my 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo to look like the new style Cherokee, millenium edition Cherokees "Jeep Commander".
Link to HeadLight: http://www.logical-source.com/images...cs/JECOL1A.jpg I plan to keep the orange lights on the side of my Jeep since its for the turnsignal and replace the old boxy light area with the commander larger lights. My Jeep Cherokee is a 1991 4 door, Red with gray trim, Crome Grille/door handles trim, 4.0 Engine https://www.cherokeeforum.com/member...erokees-91.jpg Plans: Wanting to Add Auto Locking, Tint Windows, 3" Lift "Awaiting shipping", Commander HeadLights "If can", Wood Grain Dashboard cover, bottom round lights built-in to front bumber, Lightup Jeep logo on back Hatch door, maybe new style taillights "Commander taillights too tall 16-1/2", 17" Wheeles with new crome Jeep logo rims, And maybe Power Windows if can. welcome to the forum from one newbie to another, I have never seen anyone modify a set of commander lights or any other type of jeep light into an xj, but it sounds like a cool project.

why not make it like the 2007 cherokee. They still made them in 07 just not in this country

I never saw a Cherokee like that before "Silver Cherokee with headlights image" It looks simialer to the Commanders, is there a part number for them? And does anyone know what the size of the Commander Headlight is without the orange light. And does that light come off? I asked some sellers ebay with no responce. The tail lights I was wanting to get will not fit as a seller told me they were 16-1/2 and my tail lights are 11-1/2

i have no idea. they are foriegn so might be tough to get. but its all a direct bolt on

the company that NAXJ was dealing with no longer exists..... i was looking into this all day for you! (and me ) i would try ebay maybe?

Those would seem nice to have, But probably would have to change the grille for them to fit. I was looking at buying a Commander and total forgot to measure the front headlights. The commanders are box shape with the small cut slope on the side. Would the Orange side light come off? When I go to look at another Commander I'll get the size of the lights if anyone wants to try the commander lights on there cherokee.:balloon:

The Jeeps everyone is looking at is called a "Jeep 2500". China Only Cherokee. Did some looking up on this model.

Heres an image of what it will look like. Plan to remove the entire front light along with the bezel frame around light. Make small triangle shape on bottom of new light and keep the Orange turn signal lights on the side.
"Not actual size of lights but close to it." https://www.cherokeeforum.com/member...es/21503-a.jpg If anyone knows if the orginal Commander light along with the side orange will fit that will do fine without having to add the triangle "RED" fillers. |

I know this is an older thread but found what you were looking for. Here are a couple of pics of 97-01 Cherokees with Commander Headlights. "And yes the side amber lenses do come off". These are not my jeeps just some pics I found because im considering the same thing to do to mine.

These all look pretty cool, def a neat idea. I can't imagine those lights being cheap tho. Also not crazy about the little gap in the corners. But Probably much better visibility with those commander units.

Difinatly a unique look. I'm diggin it. If was a show vehicle, then mods can be done for a better fit/appearance but for a wheelin rig, its great!!
