alright, well one last question then. the 97 just got wrecked but most is body damage, and the 90 doesnt run for some unknown reasons, with these two what is the possibility of using the parts from both to fix one or the other?
thanks for the help

depending on how bad the damage is on the 97 then you could use panels from the 90, but what i would do is take the engine from the 97 and put it in the 90 if it is running and what not. The other thing i would do if you do that is convert the 90's coolant system to an open system from a closed with parts from the 97 all in all it would be a good buy because almost all the parts would almost be interchangable. If the 90 is not a 4.0 HO engine you would require a harness, but that will be in the 97 as well. The 97 body will be different a little bit in the front, and if it is not damaged that is the swap alot of people do, because it is a little bit more sleek looking in my opinion i will probably do the swap myself when i get the funds.

i am thinking of doing something simular, anymore info would be great, or if anyone know of places for me to do more research, that would work too.
I have a 1994 XJ 4x4 and the engine is dead, i have a 1998 XJ 4x4 (the car got rear ended), so i am planning to swap the engine over, i know the 2 engine / wiring is different.
so any info would be great
thx guys
