Ideas for the new build...
So I just picked up another XJ, technically I gotta tow it home tomorrow. Planned on fixing the burnt out clutch and flipping it for some coin. Instantly decided against it, this being my 3rd XJ/8th Jeep it is too clean to let go.
It's a 1994 4dr Sport, black, straight body minus rusted rockers and little floor pan in the front row. 4.0, 5spd, D30 C8.25, full gauges, clean interior, paint looks great!!! Even the hatch struts work excellent in -10 temps!!! Working stereo with factory sound bar, under hood light and over head map lights, didn't even know the came with those lights.
Anyways I'm planning to go big on it, IRO long arm, probably 7" or so, 35's or bigger, cut the rockers and weld in some box tube.
I want to keep it clean as can be but still big and capable. My current '96 2dr SE may get passed to the girlie, she slapped me when I mentioned selling it!!! And building a trailer queen from my '89 4dr pioneer.
Question is: What works great on a daily driver that will be an eye catcher but friendly at highway speeds and still be capable Offroad. I'm in Alaska so not a lot of heavy rock action as much as mud, swamp, dirt and log trail type stuff. Let's hear your suggestions for it!
