Question Some Questions?

Hey guys,

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, and I love her dearly.
[IMG][/IMG]
She has a cherrybomb glasspack to complement the 4.0 I6.

And I recently put on 31x10.5 General Grabber AT2s on, and they are awesome, but they rub at full steering stop and when i flex a little.

My question is if a 2 inch budget boost will help with this a lot? And if anyone is running a 2 inch lift with 31 inch tires id love to see some pics.

Thanks and happy wheelin!

So you put 31's on with no lift?

yeah i did
they are so sweet - and I knew I was going to lift it down the road, so I didn't mind a little rub.

Yeah you will either have to lift it or trim the fenders. You will be fine with a 2 inch lift on the road, but if you start offroading and flexing more you will still rub. I'd just go with a three inch lift and be done with it!

X2

Edit* I've got a Skyjacker 3 in lift and still trimmed my fenders. Never rubs when flexed and looks really good.

Yeah I think I am just going for a 3 inch, how hard would that be to install?

And where did you trim the fenders? Would I be able to use the factory flares just bolt them on where I trim? I dont feel like blowing 350 bucks for 4 pieces of plastic haha.

Well if you lift it 3 inches you won't have to worry about trimming at all, now on the lift questions it just a matter on the quality of lift you want.

im looking at a 3inch rough country add a leaf with 4 new hydro shocks.

I just need my rig to go down the road as my DD and yet perform on the trails that are near my house, not much rocks, some mud, some hills, but there will be flexing

Then rough country would be perfect! Yeah but the aal isn't to hard to install just have to take you leaf spring apart and put it in there. Just be prepared for rust and most likely breaking bolts especially your rear shock bolts! About a week before you install the lift spray all your bolts with PB blaster and possibly heat them up

Well any grade 8 bolt at a hardware store works. But the problem is the bolts break inside of where the are threaded and in the rear you can't drill it out so you usually end up welding a new shock adaptor on like I had to.
