Great build man, great Fab work. Did you have any issues with the cast on the 14B when welding to it? I'm planning on a shave kit as well so I'm looking for good tips on welding to it. I guess pre-heating and cover with heat blanket for a slow cool down will do the trick.
That's pretty much it.... and some nickel rod will do the trick! |
when do we get to see this thing terrorizing small downs and large forests

I picked up a YJ in 2016 and between that and driving my kid around to wrestling tournaments kinda took up a lot of time. So 6 years later I'm back on the XJ build.

Starting with getting the engine wiring completed. This is all part of shortening the harness, eliminating the C101 connector, removing some other misc connectors and relocating the ECU.
ECU relocation.... yes I removed all the heater core, ducting and controls, don't need such luxuries. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...a305287e12.jpg Removed C101 and a handful of other connectors... https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...b6c2b5eab9.jpg Plan is to locate all relays and power/ground bus in this location... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...328ca7883f.jpg Just about complete. Need to wire up the electric fan speed controller.... https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...eed6af6610.jpg |
Ordered up a complete new HP super 60 with RCV's and 10 degrees of pinion and 14 degrees of caster to compliment full hydro steering. Factory photo....
