Im pumped to finally be able to post to this site! Ive been researching all the great threads and learning alot. I had a '96 classic a few years ago, i sold for a fuel efficient '01 Focus. Well, I needed my scrotem back.

Just this week, after months of searching for the right XJ, i purchased this HEEP!! I was looking for a project as a daily driver and Hobby Hauler. I got more of a project than i was wanting, but for $800 i was ready to get dirty.

Shes been around the block (175k miles, of "experience") but hasnt been used up. Mechanically shes in good shape, no major issues, aside from needing new U-joints all the way around. Cosmetically shes hit, the floor pans are totally shot, i think i caught several STD's from being inside her. But thats what a project is "dont just replace, upgrade". From what i can tell she's unmolested, no hack jobs or beatings on the trails. That being said, she also been completely neglected. So she'll enjoy some TLC. First thing was to do a full tune up: plugs, wires, dist cap, air and fuel filter. Fluids look good tho.

An added bonus was she came with more rump in her trunk, Factory Tow Package! It'll be nice to have in the future, but wasnt thinking about needing it. Its strange tho, theres coil over shocks on the rear. I may have to ditch them when i put the lift on as they will be too short to be any help. Glad to have the C8.25 rear too.

Exhaust was rusted out so ... SUPER 40 had to go in!

I also picked up a set of 17in Moabs from Craiglist off an '07 JK with 2 new GY tires, 2 with 70% tread and the spare for $450. The adapters should be here in a few days and those bad boys are goin' on!

Thanks for reading this long as$ post, im excited to finally be an official Jeep owner again! Next comes the JY bastard pack and V8 Grand coils up front.
