According to the mud I've gotten stuck in, open differential. The rough country site says the leafs lift it 1-2 inches to "level", well the back of an xj already looks saggy so with the shackles set on the 2 inch mark I have a 3.5 inch lift in the back if I remember correctly.

Totally understand. I can't afford that stuff either yet. Luckily I got an XJ with a limited slip rear end, so I'll probably just keep it that way for a while. I just got my lift done, so I'm going to enjoy that and see what it can do. The build never ends...

Oh yes the build never ends with a jeep and yeah I'm definitely on a budget too, I got my lift done back in May but had to wait till a few weeks ago to get 31s to match the lift I'm just glad I don't have to take my jeep to the shop for everything and can do some stuff on my own. Just wish I had more tools more money and more jeep parts. Haha

I'm getting some new headlights soon, just some el cheapo headlights from amazon. They have glass lenses and for $20 I said well what the heck if they suck oh well. I ordered them a few days ago and they should be in sometime this week. When I get them in I'll do some comparison pictures and everything. If I feel like these new lights still aren't putting out what I think they should. Genssi led kit here I come.

Well I got my jeep back today and put in my new headlights.... They were crap first off they were dimmer than STOCK headlights, and then I drove to walmart right up the street from me. When I got home I noticed something didn't look right, got out and the bulb had exploded ruining the housing too..... My luck. Guess I'll be putting the old ones back

How's the quality of the lift so far thinking about replacing my 94,000 mile original suspension with the same one your running... Is it super rough around town? The truck came with 30's on it and they are literally new.... So if I go 3.5 it probably won't look to terrible until I get rims and 31/32 in tires

I think it rides fine but I'm not a very picky person, and I've never had anyone complain about the ride. the suspension hasn't sagged or anything since lifting it, and I can still flex it out pretty good. I would suggest it to A friend at the end of the day and I think it should look fine with 30s I'm only on 31s and I had to trim the bumper caps because it rubbed there.

Oh and most of the poor ride is because of the shocks so I would go with the higher priced ones in the kit
