yes I know my jeep is dusty. Also, yes I know I need to get matching lights for the switches. The wiper bulb burned out and for some reason I had blue and I thought it was green, and the new switch has the factory incandescent light. It does appear that the lighting is working correctly, and the switch does engage and disengage the air solenoid so I'm happy. Bulbs are minor details that are easily fixed.

Before I got my hands on a real Ext Idle switch I did the same thing with one of the $17 Ebay ones.
I just used the rocker part itself with the factory fog light housing and guts.
The rocker had the window the bulb would shine through.

Since I got the factory switch I never figured out the relay and whatever else was needed to pull this off.

For quite a while now I've wished that I bought the cut and fold bumper from ares fab instead of the non cut and fold bumper. I have beat up and dragged the rear quarters on everything. It's got me wondering how hard it would be to attempt to replicate the cut and fold bumper by cutting on my bumper the free jeep is mine and the white one is a picture of their cut and fold bumper. Any ideas on the best way to go about mimicking their cut and fold bumper with what I have? Just chop the corners off and maybe weld some 2x6 or something under the cut and fold for protection, or what?

I have the cut and fold version, if you ever need measurements on it let me know maybe I can be useful.
I think you'd have to chop off a good amount on the corner and then just weld up some square tubing underneath would look good.

Well I fully committed to the cut and fold 2x6 tube stuff today. Cut the corners of the bumper. Hopefully next week I'll have time to get my buddy to help me cut and fold since he did his not too long ago and I've never attempted one. After that I'll run back over to my brother-in-law's shop and weld in the 2x6.

Well it looks like I might have to sell off some of my parts I've stored for future use since I'm going to have to pull the motor out of the Cherokee now.
