Headlight Level Switch

2001 Cherokee XJ 4.0 4x4 Right hand drive (Export model to UK). Probably simple but I dont want to break anything. I was thinking of changing the radio bezel from black plastic to wood effect. Seems easy according to videos to start at the bottom and simply ease it off. But my model has a headlight level switch at bottom left that sits on top of the bezel not behind like the radio. Does this need to be removed first or will it just come off with the bezel with the wires still attached?

Comes off with the bezel. No problem.

I have always been intrigued by that option. Would love to add that to my '00.
For no particular reason. LOL.
I assume that there is a connector to wiring behind the slider.
So while I think you will pry it off like the videos show you first you will need to disconnect the connector for the slider before pulling it completely away from the dash.
Never having seen this up close and personal, just the odd part for the set up here and there on Ebay, this is just a guess.

Indeed a connector and some wires, however the wires are long enough to take off the bezel first and then disconnect.

I would love to see how these are set up on a Jeep.
Seen the switch and what looks like a headlight bucket with a motor and some levers on Ebay from time to time.
Really wonder what it would take to add this option.
