Half Shell(TMNT Offroading Machine)

Since i had to put my last Cherokee out of commission 8 years ago. I have been really wanting another Cherokee. I have also been a huge fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This past week i have picked up a 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 4.5 lift. The perfect color of Forrest green to start my dream project of a TMNT themed Jeep. the condition wasn't too bad underneath still pretty good rockers were already cut off. Floors had some holes in them. The plan of this is too be able to drive on road and very capable Offroad. that is going to turn heads because every child and adult loves the turtles or know who they are. when its done its going to look like it came out of Donny's garage from the depths of NYC Sewers. From Roof Mounted pizza launchers to Diamond plated door. All types of ideas in my mind its going to look bad ass when done

When i got it the carpets were already torn out.

Obviously the previous owner had some issues installing the kit. always a nice surprise. and took a shortcut installing fuel pump. I hate people taking that type of short cuts.
this weekend i Fixed the holes in the floor pans and Did the roll on Huculiner. Still need to get the spray to reach the spots that the roll couldn't but still looks good.

This should be cool. What is better than a pizza van? A pizza cherokee.
Been thinking about do i t a captain America theme to mine. The old school blue and red with a white shield symbol which closely resembles the star and circle. Good luck.

This Sunday I did a coolant to flush man it needed it. Rusty as hell. Also found some Carnage left by previous owner. Well the steering column was missing it's plastics and key only worked for ignition not door so I thought maybe just list a key and replaced lock cyclinder. Untill after little drive come back and key won't turn to start it would go to run. So I take it out then look at the rest and found the ignition pin acuator pin cyclinder cracked and in PC's. The reason why people should not watch YouTube and not know what there doing obviously hammed on key and pryef stuff to work. More and more I can tell previous owners had no patience or very angry lol. Thank God a Jeep lover like me and all of you out there is going to save this Cherokee.

The more I get into this Jeep more I really hate the previous owner from broken lock cyclinder, crimped and cut rear brake lines. Went to fill gas was leaking thought maybe lose hose clamps. No a plastic bag and gorilla tape used as hose. More and more stuff finding driving me nuts I really hope the kid doesn't work at a shop

No brake lines
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...e2a128ec9a.jpg
No brake hose with random metal spacer. That let mud dirt and water in diff housing.

GorllGo tape used on the radio head unit I wonder if it was same roll and shopping bag to fix filler neck. What a ****ing joke this kid was

Looking good.

Looks cool on the cad. It is funny how some folks fix things. I understand temporary or emergency repairs, but sometimes these shortcuts can get someone injured, a rig burnt down ,who knows what all. Splicing wires and using tape is a pain. Hec i do not even use crimp connectors except maybe in a emergency.
P.S. Don't forget the pizza.

I know how it is fixing stuff someone else did when you buy a new project.
Looks like you are handling it well though. Good luck with the rest of it!

Just adding some pics of process of my bumper CAD. It's a work in progress. It has 2x5 square tube 3/16ths with 3/16s plate for winch mount with the common 10 x4.5 bolt pattern . Then a hole to run wires. Going to have two of the rugged ridge bolt on d shackle probably weld it and bolt it. Going to have frame tie ins. Possiblity light protection. Let me know what u guys think.

You may want to make some cuts under to taper it to the ends. Would look better and give more clearance for the tires to meet rocks.
