The Green Machine
so i have been apart of this site from some time now. and i just now figured i should start a build thread. i bought this jeep it will be 2 years in june. and wow was i lucky to get it. i love it and love everything about it.
here it is the day i bought it. isnt she purdy?? it came with a 5 inch lift. the i6 with chrysler 8.25 and dana 30 up front. i wanted to get a stock 4 door xj that was manual. but well then i saw this on craigslist and it just caught my eye. i went and looked at it and bought it that day for 1600. it has rustys springs procomp shocks rubicon express stainless braided brake line 80% tread on 30x9.5 pro comp mt, with a richmond lockright in the front. and its auto. it was the two things i didnt want but for 1600 i couldnt pass it up plus the head was just redone floors were just replaced and everything on it was brand new. reciepts for everything. all it needed was a new steering box and the rockers replaced.
this when i brought it home.
my sweet spot light it came with. it use to be a forest ranger vehicle.
gutted the whole inside to do some hurculiner.
painted the center console black.
heres my rustys skidplate i painted lime green i have redone it so the streaks arnt there anymore.
did some flexing on my buddys dirt mound in his back yard. then he said i couldnt climb it and i proved him wrong. loved it.
my jeep and my buddys dodge. i think my $10 lights are brighter.
i painted my wheels black. i think it looks better
just taking some poser shots.
i found this rear bumper in the junk yard. its 1/4in steel i got it for $50 so its way better than my stock one. plus its sweet.
i tinted the tail lights and added the monster symbol.
i then bought some new wheels and tires. bc the 30x9.5 looked way to small. so i got some procomp steelies with 33x12.50x15 procomp mts i really liked the old ones so i just kept with them.
first pic with the tires ah so much better!
ah i love the new tires and rims!
they stick out pretty good.
oh yes
my jcroffroad light bar and stuff i found at the junkyard that i needed.
so i replaced the bad rocker and got a new front fender it got beat up on the trail. and i wanted it to look good for now. so i bed armoured it with duplicolor and then painted over with hunter green paint to make it look good.
i love the new paint. im so happy i did the bedliner and everything. it turned out great. this is when i went and installed the 97 front header pieces. im so glad i did. i love the look of the newer xj fronts.
then i went ahead and installed this tiny light bar.
this is the end result of the light bar. i think it looks cool.
i also just installed my new rustysoffroad track bar. my last one was crap all the threads on the adjuster were gone and my axle was moving pretty good.
so i was out doing a little wheeling and well my buddy was with me and all of a sudden my jeep got loud and it sounded really good. i didnt understand it. bc i thought the i6 was quiet but well i got out and looked and then took a pic the next day this is what happened and i wish i wouldve left it honestly. it sounded reallly good.
sweet right??
heres my new jcroffroad light bar with some hella 500ffs on it.

I have tried a gun and compressor and I hated it. Plus my compressor takes in a lot of moisture. But that's all rattle can. I used a tractor enamel the second time. It's really shiney and came out a lot better then the other crap.

more pics! i got bored one day here in ohio and decided to make a big snow mound and flex my jeep out as much as i can
so the other week i decided to repaint my badly faded green jeep so i did.
seeing if i like the black extended to the front grill. and i like it.
this is the difference in between the new and old paint
i removed all the doors on the jeep.
my new custom eyelids!
my new custom eyelids and the headlight grills i copied off another xjer on here.
they block a little light. oh well i always drive with my 6 1/2in driving lights.
the eyelids and you can see the custom light grillon the ground.
i just found these pics after mudding one day
that mud was so caked on. it took forever to wash it off. but it was a lot of fun! i need to get some in action shots. i will next time i go out.
