Good Ole Gal

Well here she is. I have always watched these builds trying to find some good stuff here and there so I thought I would post up my first one that I wrecked and the new one I have now. Plan on starting a winch bumper in the next few weeks and doing some more rear lift along with sye and lebaron vents off my old one. Also I'll post some pictures of my homemade rock rails tomorrow.

Looking good.. I guess your right red 5 speed's are your thing to have two in a row..........What happened to the front of the first one...........

n_csmith 06-22-2010 10:38 PM

Very nice, i like it so it was a two wheel drive and you converted to 4x4?

nmcommando 06-23-2010 12:57 AM

It got smashed into the back of a Harley Truck lol I was looking for a heat shield shifter cover and the wet roads the jeep didn't stop in time but oh well it was all for the better in the long run I think. And yea bought it as a 2x4 cause it was a 5-speed and just put a new clutch in so I really wanted another and this was a the cheapest one I could find. Bought the new one with 245,000 miles but had a motor in the old one with only about 5,000 on the rebuild so I switched all the money I had in the old one into the new one.

Here are some pictures of the rock rails I just recently built. I think they turned out great since they were made out of some spare steal That was laying around the house. All in all they cost about $10 in bolts hope you enjoy. It's all 3/16's 1x2 main beam 1x1 everywhere else and 1x1 angle for the pinch seam.

Sweet jeep man!

sucks you crashed your first one, this one looks clean tho!

Also what type of bike is that? it looks like an old FSR with linear pull brakes

nmcommando 06-27-2010 09:53 PM

It's a Diamondback older model don't know much about it just starting to try to get into bikes. My dad gave it to me to use at college. Here are some pictures of what I got done and with the 2 inch adjustable shackles I installed to 1 3/4 inch to level out the rear better. Also I did the latch this way because the old one kept coming undone while four wheeling.
