That is looking awesome- need some more pictures of the front bumper! Did you remove the factory crossmember?
factory x-member is still in place.. trimmed out the center a bit for the winch cable to pass through but that's about it... winch bolts in behind it..
Cool. Post up some pics of that if you have 'em.
Good looking welds man! Sometimes it can be a pain to get hardwire to look real good.
I like the build so far keep up the good work! |
in love with your slider replacement hook up, like the mount/support you did with it, definitely stealing this idea if you don't mind
Hey I have a question for you would you be able to take some more pictures of your rock sliders/rockers I live in pa and rust is everywhere and my rockers need replacing but I like yours and I'm a welder myself so I plan on moding something
SWEET! Another gold XJ. You dont see too many on the road. I like it. My goldie looks similar, 3'' lift with parts waiting to go up another 1.5''-2''... it's almost like looking into the future!
clean rig man. Its always good to start out with a good base. Watchin this one!!
well looks like you're off to a great start! Keep up the good work i like that bumper design a lot, and i don't usually like tube bumpers
I appreciate all the comments! I'll try and post up some more pics of the front bumper and sliders today... I worked on the chassis long arm brackets yesterday but didn't get much done... I'm upgrading from the 7/8"x3/16" tube that came with the RK kit to some 1" .250 wall dom tube to make it a little more beefy through the frame rails.. Also picked up a 22" led light that I'm going to be mounting on the bumper.. might be adding a low profile stinger to it as well, but not sure yet. I'm really trying to keep the front bumper to a minimum so i may just mount the light and see how it looks.
