Future lift w/ tires

Well, even though I'm psyched to finally be driving a Jeep, I'm short on money. The original plan was to put a lift on her and put 32's (that are on my Ford) on. Sadly, I won't be able to do that because it's way too much money. So, I'm looking at 31's, but I still want to lift it later down the road.

With 31's, would a lift look okay? I'm thinking a 3.5" Rubicon, which is what I was gonna originally do.

Please, any thought helps.

Thx

Awesome

With 31s and a small lift, your jeep would look great. 3.5inch lift and thirty ones would be perfect. My advice though, would be to save your money and go a little higher and a little bigger of a tier. BUT ONLY IF your wanting to really build a trail rig that you do alot in. Most of the time after you lift it a little bit though, you will just keep wanting to go bigger. haha. but Yah, if you dont mind just bein happy with what you got go with 3.5 and 31s. It would look great.

Just keep in mind that you'll run into a little bit of rubbing when flexed with a 3-3.5" lift and 31's. Trimming will probably be necessary. I'll mirror what Erik said: If you plan on doing any real serious off-roading with it, definitely bump up to the next tier of lift.

i run 32s with 6.5inch lift and cut and trimmed fenders doesnt look bad at all ... my twin brother runs 34s with about 5 inchs with cut and trimmed fenders and it looks really good

I run the RE 3.5 and i love it, Im sitting at around 4.5 inches of lift and plan on doing maybe one more inch and then 32s or 33s with trimming.

Its a 3in RC with 1.5in coil spacers and S-10 bastard pack. The rims are Cragar soft 8s 15x8, Summit Racing for $43 each.:head:Suspension came to $227.99 with tax and shipping, Coil spacers $10 each at Advanced Auto, and bastard pack was $40 at jy . Grand total for lift $288 and it lifted it about 5.5in. Had to do a tc drop and HD steering stabilizer and 96 4x4 Dakota rear brake hose[6in longer than stock]. And thanks for the props on my XJ. Go to carparts.com for most of it . They are really cheap. Even cheaper than the manufacturer.
