Front differential questions

I bought a new jeep a few days ago, and it has this tube coming from the back of the front differential. I noticed it was dragging when I got to school this morning. What is it and where does it need to be?

It looks like I was squeezing it but I was just trying to get my phone camera to focus on the end.

as far as i know its your vent tube for you axle. there should be a clip or a mount for it on the driver side engine bay firewall. you can also ziptie tie it up there if nessassary

edit: this should be in the tech section.

i ripped mine out last jeepin trip. run it up into the engine bay (try your best to stay away from the block and exhaust manifold) and ziptie that thing up there. theres one on your rear axle too!
