First XJ

I bought this about a month ago and finally am able to start going on the build of it. I bought it with everything seen, currently 6inch lift with blocks/schackles and spacers on the front. Also came with the 35s. All I have done so far is fix the vent window, add a rear wiper and put on a steering stabalizer. I dont like the lift but it was only 1200, and for a cherokee in Colorado, thats cheap.

Would like to put a 4-4.5 lift, keep the shackles and run 33's. Plenty of other mods too, and ideas or suggestions would be awsome.

Can you take pics of the front and rear suspension? Need to see whats goin on under there to be able to give you advice on it. Looks nice from what I can see.

take off the rear blocks before they break and cause major drive train issues. axle wrapped is terrible to with those blocks. buy some full leafs for the rear.

I found a pair of Rusty's 4.5in for $250, do you guys think that with the shackle I could clear 33's?

Also, for my birthday, my girlfriend is buying me a hi-lift, any ideas where to mount it? I dont like the look of the hood, but the only other thought i had was to the liftgate.

looking at the pics again. I would take the rear block out and the front coil spacers. with the trim job it has it looks like it will clear 33's and possibly 35's with very little work

I am running Rusty's 4.5 leafs on stock shackles with 33's and they work great check out my flex pics in my build thread..I have 4.5 springs in the front also from Rusty's and I wheel this jeep everywhere and it does more then I ever expected..

SGT, that looks sweet, you convinced me to go with the rusty's and I agree with everyone else on your build that the paint is awsome.

n_csmith, thank and good luck on your rig.
