Great looking Jeep! You can get parts for the roof rack from junkyards for next to nothing, I don't think replacement parts are still made for the factory roof rack. How're you liking being a firefighter?

I don't know if you've gotten the stiffeners yet. But I HIGHLY recommend you get Ruffstuffspecialties cherokee stiffeners instead of TNT. Much better. Little but more money. Might fit in the $4000. But TNT isn't as good at ruffstuff. I wish I would have gotten ruffstuff.

So today I figured on my day off from work Id head to the Junkyard to pick me up a new factory roof rack, seeing as how my other one was smashed when a tree fell on my truck while I was driving. So with that being said I found MANY donor jeep cherokees and ended up with a new rack but also a cruise control steering wheel 😁😁😁

So about an hour and a half later with no beer and lots of swearing I already got to work removing the old roof rack and replacing that with a new rack and cargo rack that my boyfriend sold to me.
Im probably gonna do a write up on that later since I have not ever found a single write up on how to remove or reinstall that S.O.B.
Here is what it looks like now... The steering wheel will be for another day!

Update: Ended up with a CEL Code for a Transmission issue with the shift solenoid. Took it to the dealership for a transmission diag, and was told that I needed to do a complete rebuild because I was running im limp mode and it apparantly "destroyed" me transmission. Obviously I should have known from the start not to bring it to a Jeep Dealership because they hate doing transmission work.
So, after 150$ for a complete waste of a tranny diag, I took it to a Transmission Shop and they gave me a free tranny diag and told me exactly what was wrong. Needless to say, I did not need a rebuild. All that was weong was that my shift solenoids were no good and my tranny fluid was a little dirty, but nothing to worry about.
So about $500 dollars later ( instead of 4000$ which is what the dealership wanted for a rebuild ) I now have the Jeep back in my hands and as good as new!
