Tons of progress in a short time, looks great already. Can't wait to see it with the tires on. What rear Axel did you guys go with?

Thanks yeah definately alot of work in short period. The rear axle is the factory 8.25 29 spline with upgraded superior shaftss and a freshly finished disc brake conversion. Pics to come ill even roll a tire under the rear for a sneak peek

Sneak peek with tire rolled under. Will be a lil wider than this when mounted.

We also came up with a good way to connect factory parking brake cables to the zj discs. I never seen this done before may make a post on the main board. No drilling , no looping, nothing completly bolt on.

Local member has this done on his ZJ conversion as well. I don't think he posted the pics in his build though.

Sub'd for this build. My dad helped me towards the end of my lift install as well, and my oldest is 4 and she helps with the simple things. She loves trail runs though. I took my dad on a few trail runs several years ago in Utah with my last XJ and Xterra... I think i scared him
He has yet to go on a run in this XJ

I think he has 2 clamps though. I saw it a year ago when I got the conversion for mine (that I somehow misplaced the backing plates for). Hoping I didn't toss them with the box of scrap metal I had.

Actually, looking at the picture now, I see the hook on the parking brake part. I thought you just ran the cable with the clamp. Maybe I'm mistaken?? Is that another piece?

Yes its another piece. Its a single small chain link with the clamp through it. Perfect fit! Ill probably make a post on main board tonight about it. Much easier than looping cable like most seem to do.
