Holy ****. I haven't updated this since January.
Status Report:
-SYE installed
-RMS replaced
-Oil pump replaced
-Oil pan gasket replaced
-Oil pan stripped to bare mettal, and painted (OCD)
-TNT long arm belly pan installed
-33" tires received and mounted on my new wheels
-When moving boxes I found a drinking game I had invented when I was 21, proceeded to play it with some friends, got really drunk, then severely injured my dominant hand during an awesome face plant.
The Jeep has been on hold for the past couple of months wile I regain the ability to turn a wrench.

I think I used a gallon and a half or so. I rolled in on. Prepping the surface took me 40 hours or so. Judging by the amount of sand, I think the previous owner parted it in the desert with the windows open and left it there for a year. LOL

Those tires and wheels look killer! I normally prefer a more traditional wheel, but those are awesome. Can't wait to see 'em mounted up.

Thanks! I like the traditional look as well, but given the amount of money I'm dropping on this thing I wanted something that stood out a bit. I spent months comparing wheels until I finally narrowed it down to those. I think they will match the XJ's boxy style quite nicely. Most of the non-traditional wheels look more fitting on a JKU that never leaves the pavement, or has fake bead locks. Honestly finding a wheel I liked without fake bead locks was the biggest challenge. Any thing that is fake / non functional drives me nuts.

Progress has been slower than I'd like due to my indecisiveness, running into a few snags, and a little too much attention to detail. I've been having to take some time off from the project, so the jeep has been on jack stands since May. I'm looking forward to getting back to it in a few weeks.
My DirtBound front tube flares finally came in last Friday. Once I'm able to install them I plan on flexing out the front suspension to measure for shocks. The OME long travel shocks I have were ordered when I was planning on running 31's. If I can fit longer shocks I plan on selling them (they have zero miles).

LOL you sound exactly like me so I know this is going to turn out great. Love the DB tube flares btw. Why did you decide against notch? (I almost did the exact same thing btw)
