you should have lots more towing power the straight six is a torque monster, however it will probably sag..lol but i am sure the 4runner did to. Sick vw by the way and can't wait to see what happens to this jeep.

Yes MUCH better power! that was the driving factor behind me selling the toyota...
Sag in the JEEP ill give it to you
Sag in the toyota was fixed with new rear leafs + shocks +shackles (+4" total)
The toyota pic on the previous page was LOADED with 11 days of gear
+ King Quad 400.. it would droup about 1".. YA!



Stayed up late and replaced the Front sway bar end links
Found a local off craigslist with some OE parts FS..... $20 for the pair
Thats 1 front end Noise GONE!!!

::CURRENT ISSUES::

MAAD Piston slap or bearing gap on COLD START
Once its warmed up it goes 90% away
However if reved (1100 rpm) on engine decel there is a sligt knock

Yes I JUST changed the oil
and
Yes this is a NEW issues since then


Where r the oil pumps located in this engine?
Can I replace it without pulling the engine? (AKA oil pan R+R.. does it get me to the oil pump???)
I ask cause I only have about 40-ish PSI on cold start..... YEIKES!!!!

I assume this is a Hydrolic lifter head and there are NO tappet adjustments on valve train and that leads me to belive that its in the lower side of the engine........ UUUhGGG...
