Default some Christmas day work..

snuck into the garage on Christmas for a few hours of build time, did the extended brake lines first -

went on smoothly until it came time to get the pressure up, the ds kept leaking form the inner thrust washer, pulled it off aobut 6 times and cleaned it before I said the heck with that and put one of the old washers back in there and it sealed up instantly, bad washer I guess..

then the stock steering stabilizer went away for a hd one -

took off the old tierod to put on the hd one I got from RC, that was a pain to remove 13 years of rust and dirt on the tre's and get it off, bot I did and all was well until I went to put it back in and the tre on the ps wouldn't tighten back up, the nut is spinning the bolt so buying a new one today to finish that up..

put the wheels back on the finished rear area to check out the new look, I like it!

and -

the front is about to begin...

Liking those wheels! Those are sweet!

I'm thinking about doing the same with my fenders. But I'm going to use plasti dip this way if I don't like it in the future I can take it off.

I thought hard about the Plasti Dip and it was even in stock when I got the Rustoleum, but decided if I didn't like it oh well, paint over it.. lol

The wheels are so hot, Jeep hit the nail on the head with this style.

ya the 13's are running them. i looked for about a month before I got a guy to go down to $1000 for all five with only 14 miles on them when he pulled them. love the look, but honestly louder than the MTR's I like to run. when this tread is worn I think the Goodyears are going on...

Honestly I haven't even seen any of them running on the streets yet I had to take a double take on your pics and the I realized it was them. That's an awesome score.

Default hit it early this morning

woke up WAY too early this morning so I decided to head to the garage and work on the Jeep for a little bit, picked up the new TRE at Autozone yesterday and go that put on and the Tie Rod installed and the toe set again -

LOVE this HD Tie Rod, way thicker -

had some time left befor getting ready for work so I started on the front fenders, made a ton of progress for only a few minutes to spare, I am liking where it is heading!

ended up with 3-4" throughout the cut, I think there is plenty of room for puttng some bigger tires when these are worn!

until next time...

Looking good man! I can't wait to trim my fenders. I just can't justify doing it at least until my lift goes on.

I hope so. I totally forgot that it was new years eve and everything. I'm off Monday and Tuesday so that's when I would be doing it. And I plan on taking it to my friends garage but I don't know if it will work out for this weekend. I might have to wait another week. :banghead:

You said "I picked up the Jeep and went to work on the typical new (used car) style repairs such as fluids, filters, plugs, wires, etc". What wires and plugs do you replace? I'm a noob. Sorry.
