So I just joined, 2000 xj sport automatic, bought a year ago with only 86xxx miles.
Now it has a little over 114xxx miles.
Got a RC 3" with leaf packs because of a 2"sag in the rear.
Went with the IRO double sheer trac bar.

I have driveline vibes now, I read that a 5 speed cross member = 3/4" drop without loss of ground clearance. But I've read that t-case drops are just bandaids. What shim degree should I go with? Install shims on front and rear? First lift thanks for reading.

Personally I would just go ahead and get an sye. That way you'll be ready to go bigger once you're ready .

Nice looking xj dude! I wish I had such few miles on my 97.

The right way to correct drive line vibes is to install SYE kit and a new shaft. You could also add 4 deg. shims to rear. The frt. is coils so no shims for it. Make sure to use steel shims too. Rubicon Express sells them.

I did the grenade shifter and have been trying to get it to work good. Started out with the set up in the picture, bent the handel after some use. Wound up drilling a hole through the top end and installing an ar-15 round as my button.

Also just cut the plastic front fender down, riped the trim off, and painted the four corner plastics because they were faded.
All done after I ordered the lift kit and reading as much as I could on here.

Yeah you'll be alright with the vibes. Just save and do it right. I think Iron Rock Offroad has a hack n tap set up with a reconditioned front driveshaft for 200 bucks.

Make sure you tightened TB and CA's good. May be causing your vibes as well. Looks like Albuquerque in the background?

haven't yet done the after a few miles check. This weekend I'm going to make sure all of the bolts are tight, I'm making sure to drive with no music so I can hear anything.

Theres a few other guys on here that did them, I tried at first to use the handel to push the button but it's aluminum so it bent with daily driving.
So I drilled a hole the size of a bullet casing I had and use that as my button.
Trial and error.

Bought u-joints. Going to put those in tommorow.
Decided to see what my jeep can do... went out by myself, bad idea.
