Haven't been up to much lately. Bared, buffed, and waxed it yesterday just because. Being laid off blows. Plan to pull on the caps/flares and start teasing myself with fitting the napier flares.

Currently painting the rear bumper. Went ahead and trimmed the front caps. Plan to try and start trimming fenders tomorrow for the flares. Just received my new rock rails as the old ones were 1/2" off front to rear. Going to test fit them tomorrow and hope for the best!

I have been quite the busy guy lately. The pile of parts is no more, and for the most part the jeep is all together. I still need to fix the front caps as the bed liner did not adhere properly. Lets do this I suppose, The other night I ended up pulling an all-nighter trying trying to get her done.

So, I had finally got around to installing the ebay bumper. I had to weld some plates in to take away some of the play in the receiver. Fits fine, and it will fit the purpose of holding the tire carrier insert.

Next, I went ahead and test fit the Aj's off road sliders. The first set did not fit well what so ever. The second set that was sent fit fine enough for me to bedline them and get them on.

So, the next step I had a friend of mine help chop up the fenders. While we were on a role chopping things up, went ahead and cut out the rust I have. Welded in a new panel. Good as new (no pictures as I completely forgot)

This picture is after I had spent all night bedlining underneath the flares, door jambs, bumper caps. I then went ahead and installed my extended RE brake lines, and undercoated her.

This is where I sit as of today. Absolutely no sleep, but it was well worth it. All I really need to do is fix the front caps, and get the CB mounted (permanently).

Finally got around to buttoning her up. Just need to replace the winch solenoid. There is still lots to come. Just need to wait for funds to re-build!

So, I've noticed something going on. I have thoughts of what it is. I am going to describe it and let you decide. I've noticed that when shifting into reverse it shifts very hard. As if the whole driveline binds. It started getting worse when I lifted it. I now have an SYE and locker. It still does it and a lot more emphasized thud. It only has 2.5" of lift. When I installed the locker there wasn't any shavings in the rear diff. When I installed the SYE, the magnet did have some shavings on it. Sometimes, it shifts smoothly, sometimes it seems as though the entire transfer case blew up (however it drives fine with no noises). I've ignored it for awhile, but I am starting to get concerned. I thought it was soft leaf springs causing some axle wrap. As when I accelerate at times I get. Thunk from the rear end. It is only occasionally at the right speed. Picture for your sight holes.

I would say that almost all of the trails we have here in Colorado are either old train, stagecoach or mining routes (the exception is the trails made to run and maintain power through the mountains. I like to buy books on the history of the areas we visit. It makes the adventure even more significate to me.

Nothing new! Still chasing the suspicious clunk in the previous post. Trying to get out to wheel it, however. Majority of our trails are closed until May 15th. Hitting some tight fullsize trails that are open. So far the locker has held up great for receiving 1500 miles straight of highway miles. I plan to go through and add up everything I've done ( not the price because I dont want to see how broke I really am).

I haven't ordered any parts lately. Saving up for more lift and tires! I have been out exploring! I don't really have Internet where I currently live. Anyway, enjoy!
Made my first club run. Ended up being the Guinea pig for an area for jeep camp coming up. Also went and played around on an old stage coach route. Had to stop and enjoy the view.

Had an awesome jeep filled week. Picked up an Aries brush guard, hacked it up some to fit around my winch mount. Took a camping trip in which I used nothing but forest service roads to travel from my place in Custer, SD to the Wyoming border. Cleaned it up, and ran into thejeepcalledyeti, and the wildyolo! Helped some friends in need recover their van after its brakes went out. Also had the pleasure and luck of seeing a Jeepster Commando in person!
