Espically when they ship separately and show up every day you get home. Here’s the current status of parts:

I have a goal to have working A/C in this Jeep since I’ll have my child here next month.

Got my Mean Lemons battery cables installed and also got the new condenser, lines, and hose in for the A/C. I’ll vacuum and recharge once it warms up around Friday.

The control module for the airbag is known as an ACM on the Cherokee while called an AECM on other Jeep and Chrysler products. No light on so this is a potential false code.

Some data PIDs for Engine. More than the typical aftermarket code reader in live data mode.

Possible supported tests.

On Board Readiness. You’ll see that since I had the battery disconnected and the Jeep hasn’t moved lately that not all of the tests have completed.

What the ECT sensor is reading while the gauge is at 210.
Took a break from the upgrades to play with my new scan tool. I got AutoEnginuity for another vehicle but got a deal on enhanced Chrysler so I bit as I know a few people with newer Jeeps.

Not much a scan tool reads on our Cherokees but the ability to see what the sensors read really helps with diagnosing issues.

Did an oil change. No shavings, coolant, or abnormal level.

New LED headlights are in.

Nice brightness to them. Going to aim them tomorrow night.

Header panel reinstalled.

Removed the sway bar, replaced the front shocks with the Billsteins, began removing the brakes for the new pads, rotors, calipers, and hoses. Laid down a couple coats of undercoating while under there.

Trying to figure out inop cooling fan and no bus on the cluster....

Never seen 217 or higher in Giotto, gauge, or using a thermometer at the head. From the FSM:

Completed the 62mm throttle body, Bosch 12 hole injectors, and spark plugs. No finished pictures yet take those shortly.

The Jeep runs a lot different. It actually has the get up and go that I remember with my last two Jeeps stock. It runs somewhat hotter though.

Throttle body removed.

Throttle cables removed.

Swapping over sensors to the 62mm throttle body.

Lately has been more of PITA maintenance as the Jeep evolved into a ****box.

- Finally got the fan issue corrected. Put a new fan in that didn't require an adapter harness and it ran perfect.
- The cargo floor is rusted out into giant holes.
- Currently working on getting the rear shocks done. It hasn't been fun/
- Had to disconnect the airbag harness below the column as turning the steering wheel caused the Jeep to almost stall. (Shorted Clockspring)
- Bed-lined the entire thing as the clear coat disintegrated.

Began working on the rust holes near the hatch. The driver's side was done and results are below. This was my first time using bondo.

Cut the fenders and installed 31s over the weekend as I plan out a build for this Jeep.

Before

After - Quarter Panel rust removed and holes filled, then bed lined to match the rest of the Jeep.

Began the seat swap from and 02 and a 04 WJ to tan leather. The seats aren’t exactly the same but close enough as most of the seats at the junkyard were destroyed.

WJ seat with some stains.

WJ seat bottom

XJ seat bottom.
