Champaign-taste-on-a-beer-budget ZJ build

Planning on using this thread to archive me toying around with my ZJ. Questions or suggestions are more than welcome. We have always wanted a CJ, just never could find one cheep enough. Picked up this fully loaded Limited a couple of years ago for $1500 to tow the boat. 165,000 miles on the 4L, temperamental OD, rough body, but very clean interior. Crappy Z Racing magnesium mags on it. Picked up a set of 5 stocks to match my original, never used spare for scrap price from a neighbors yard. Wife threw a rod through the block, hit up the neighbor again for a replacement 4L, unfortunately only 2WD so no tranny. Year later wife got into a fight with the hitch of a Silverado. Plastic bumper lost to the Resse hitch. Bought her a AWD Avenger and confiscated the ZJ. Now consider myself about $15,000 into the Jeep, at least it has a chance of survival now lol. Another year, finally getting started om my next-to-nothing ZJ build.

Ordered new lights, header panel, and grill. Still working on trying to design a steel one to resemble the CJ grill and lights to swap over later.

New bumper design

Combination of sketchup library ZJ and WJ bumpers designed with Rhino 3D. Getting ready to enter the mockup stage. Plan on adding brush bar and winch to the top of the bumper after completion. Don't really care for stingers, and no need for them in my area.
